ADVENTURE WATER SPORTS PARK INAUGURATED

Tourism Minister Thiru. N.Suresh Rajan inaugurated the State’s first adventure water sports park at Rain Drop Boat House in Mudaliarkuppam off East Coast Road on Wednesday 08-07-2009.

Tamilnadu Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC) has given permission to a private operator Rohini group to operate adventure sports at Island grounds and Mudaliarkuppam.

Currently, para-sailing and water skiing is being offered at Mudaliarkuppam. A five minute para-sailing ride will cost Rs.1,200 per person, while it is Rs.600 per person for water skiing.

With this launch, Tamilnadu is all set to become the attractive destination for adventure sport. TTDC might launch other adventure sports such as bumping and jumping, hot air balloon, water kite flying and scuba diving after ascertaining the public response.
