Maduranthakam : It is 25 Kms from Chenglepet Town. It is popular for two reasons: The man made largest Madhuranthakam Lake [madhuranthakam Yeri] and the sacred Sri Kothanda Ramar or Yeri Kaththa Ramar [Rama who protected the lake] Temple. He was called Yeri Kaththa Ramar, because RAMA protected the town from overflowing Lake. Ramunja had visited the temple and had sung hymns in praise of the Lord Rama.
Weaver and silk loomSriperumbudur : It is 35 Kms from Kanchipuram and 40 Kms from Chennai. It was also called as "Bhoodhapuri" and the birth place of Vaishnavite Saint Sri Ramanujar. Many industrial units are located nearby area and it has uplifted the economic development in and around Sriperumbudur. The memorial of Former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi is located here on a lush green landscape.

Tiruvidanthai [64kms] : The Nityakalyana Perumal Temple, more than 1000 years old, is situated on the East Coast Road between Chennai and Mamallapuram. The beautiful deity here is Varha Perumal, otherwise called Nitya Kalyana Perumal. The deity is believed to bestow marital bliss to the unmarried devotees who worship him.

Melmaruvathur : It is 42 kms from Kanchipuram. This is called as Melmaruvthur Sidhar Peetam. The temple is dedicated to Adi Parasakthi and Siddhar is called as Bangaru Adigalar or AMMA. People  throng this place of worship in large numbers, during festival occasions.
