amrithiPadavedu [35 kms] :  This is now a desolate village with two popular temples, an important pilgrim center. One dedicated to Sri Ramachandraswamy and the other to Goddess Renukambal Devi. The Renukambal temple is in an area of 6.30 acers which has unique and exotic sculptures.

Amirthi Forest [24 kms] :  Located South of vellore, a forest zone rich in Flora and Fauna. One of this forest is converted as a zoological Park and the other half of the jungle was cleared to establish a tourist entertainment centre. A trek up for 1 Km leads to a view of seasonal water fall.  

Thiruvallam [22 kms] :  This town is located on the western bank of Nuga River, a tributary of Palar, is famous for Vallanadheeswar temple dedicated to Lord Siva.

Vallimalai :  The temple is located on a small hillock was built around 1500 years ago. The principal deity of this temple is Lord Subramanya. It is said that, this was the place where valli was born and married Lord Murugan. Most part of the temple looks like a cave on the hill.

Javadu Hills : It is located at an altitude averaging between 3,600–3,800 feet and 75 Km away from Tiruvannamalai, on the Northwestern Part and forms a part of Eastern Ghats. The cliffs and precipices of hills allure and excite tourists. Beema falls, Komutteri Lake, Kavalur Observatory, Amirthi Forest and the Glass House are some places of interest on this hill zone.

Mordhana Dam: It is near Vellore town and  8 km from Gudiyatham. The dam is constructed between two hills that are widely spread with greenery. This dam is 220 metres in length and 33 metres in height and it was completed in the year 2000. The Mordhana Dam is a scenic picnic spot. The Koundinya Wildlife Sanctuary, Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Vadapalli and Kanipakam are the nearby places to visit across the Mordhana Dam.
