Sri Venkatachalapathy Temple :  Sri Venkatachalapathy Temple is located on the banks of River Vaipparu in Sattur town. The temple is dedicated to Lord Sathurappan (Vishnu). This is believed to be 800 years old. Consorts Sri Devi and Bhudevi stand in 9 different postures. There is a legend that King, a devotee who regained his sight because he worshipped the Lord in this temple. People in and around, on hearing this miracle started visiting this temple in thousands. Even today pilgrims flock here in number and strength.

Rajapalayam :  It is a special grade town located 58 kms from Virudhunagar. Main attractions are the Ayyanar Falls and the neighbouring town of Srivilliputtur. The economy is based on the Cotton Market. Cotton spinning and weaving mills are aplenty engaged in manufacture of textiles. It is also special area for a popular breed of dog similar to German Shepherd called Rajapalayam Breed. This town has a population of 1,30,442 [2011 census]. initially, agriculture was the principal source of living for the people of Rajapalayam, later this turned out to be a solid business centric town particularly in cotton and cotton based industry. Hence it is also called as "Cotton city".

Pilavakkal Dam :  It is 45 kms from Virudhunagar, located at the foot hills of Western Ghats. It contains of 2 divisions called Kovilar and Periyar Dam. Water season is between October and December. It is one of the popular and favorite picnic spot with Children park and play facilities.

Nenmeni :  It is located on the banks of Vaipparu 9 kms from Sattur. It was earlier called as Nel Meni. Paddy is foremost produce of this area. The public works Department irrigation tank is a paradise for the bird watcher during the winter months. When the tank is full, exotic birds from Australia and other countries visit Nenmeni during the season.
