Kovai Kutrallam : It is 35 kms from the Coimbatore city and 5 kms from Alandurai Village. This Perennial waterfalls is located in Siruvani zone, along the western ghat forest zone. It is situated within dense forests and thus visitors are not permitted after 5 pm. Because of scarce transport system, advance planning is suggested.
Noyyal River : It starts from Velliangiri Hills and originally it was called Kanchinadi. This is a sacred river that flows through near Perur Temple and rituals are performed here.
Siruvani Water Falls and Dam : Siruvani Waterfalls and the dam is located 35 km on the west of Coimbatore city along the Western Ghats. It is an enchanting location for the tourists. The reservoir at Siruvani was built by the Government of Kerala, funded and used by the Government of Tamil Nadu.

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University : The University is just 5 kms from the city. The effort for Agricultural Education started with Agricultural School as early as 1868 and the journey resulted in establishing this Tamil Nadu Agricultural University in the year 1971 with Coimbatore as its Head Quarters. It has UG, PG and Research courses on various subjects of Agriculture. It is graded as one of the best of its kind in the South Asian Nations.
Forest College and Research Institute : It is located at an altitude of 300m, 40 kms from Coimbatore on the Kotagiri Road. The Forest College and Research Institute (FC & RI) is located at Mettupalayam in the Jakanari Reserved Forest, in an area of 200ha of reserved forest, at the foothills of Nilgiris.
