Solaiyar Dam : This dam is 20 kms from Valparai and second largest rock dam in Asia. This is the Deepest dam with a Storage capacity of 165 ft. The Solaiyar dam is actually split into two reservoirs. One is called the Upper Solaiyar dam with an access and the other called the Lower Solaiyar Dam deep in the Jungle.
aliyarParambikulam – Aliyar Dam project : Parambikulam Dam though it is in Kerala, it was built during Kamarajar Rule and operated by the Government of Tamil Nadu . It ranks number one in India as well as in the top ten embankment dams in the world in terms of water volume. Parambikulam – Aliyar projects interconnected by tunnels and canals from Parambikulam, Aliyar, Solaiyar, Thunakadavu, Thekkadi and Palar Rivers from different points and at different elevations. This is a show case of an excellent engineering expertise.

Nirar Dam : It is 15 km from Valparai utilised for both irrigation and hydro electric power production. There is a famous waterfall situated near this dam, which resembles the Silver Cascade Waterfalls in Kodaikanal. Heavy rain is experienced during June – July monsoon season months.

Monkey Falls : It is 65 kms from Coimbatore on Coimbatore-Pollachi-Valparai Highway. It is a refreshing natural falls, that attracts both Children and Elders. Entry fee of Rs.20/- charged per head to visit the falls.
Topslip : Picturesque locality at an altitude of 240m of the Anamalai Hills is 37 kms from Pollachi. Top Slip can be reached only by road. There is a Tree Hut available as watch tower for thrill seekers. Sanctuary has accommodation for overnight stay. Local Transport is also available to go around the sanctuary.
Balaji Temple is located 10kms from valpari, built and maintained by Peria Karamalai Tea industries. Pujas are formed as per Tirupati Balaji Temple Traditions. This temple attracts people on Saturdays, Sundays and other Festival Days. The Sidhi Vinyagr Temple is 5 kms from Valparai built and maintained by Jaya Tea Industries and people visit this temple regularly.
